WELCOME
Edward Cullen has left Isabella Swan, and she is desperate to cling to something familiar. So when her best friend Jacob Black is there for her, will Bella do the most natural thing in the world... fall in love with him?
Welcome to "Rising Sun", an intermediate AU Twilight roleplay that takes place of New Moon.
Please, make sure to read our rules and plot. We have many characters open, both Canon and OC.
We are a friendly, mature group of roleplayers. Come be a part of "Rising Sun"!
• Please register before taking part in the roleplay. • Once registered, submit an application for a character. • Once you are accepted, please begin to start posting in the threads.
Absences
• If you disappear for a week (1) without notifying anyone, you will be put on probation.
o Probation, in this sense, means that limited godmodding can occur without needing your permission.
• If you disappear for two weeks (2) without notifying anyone, one of two things will happen:
o For Original Characters, your application will be labeled as “Archived” and it will be assumed that the character either left or faded into the background for one reason or another. This reason can be supplied by the administration if necessary. o For Canon Characters, your character will be re-opened for others to apply for.
• To avoid either of the above repercussions, please post in the MIA/LOA forum. We will be much more understanding about it and will hold your character longer if we know why. We’re understanding people—life can get crazy, we know—and we really do hate being mean.
IC Interaction
• Please bold all of your dialogue in your posts. • There is a hundred word minimum to a post. No cheating, either--writing. Like. This. Does. Not. Count. Also, we expect literate, grammatically correct posts. • Point-of-view is first person, as it is in Twilight. Therefore, your character will not know anything but what they can observe. Other characters’ thoughts are off-limit (except to Edward). • Ask before you godmod characters.
o If it’s a character who is not being played, basic godmodding is okay (ie Sue Clearwater waved hi to me). However, if you want to have an in-depth conversation with such a character, please ask the administration, who can either give you the go-ahead, or find someone who could play the character temporarily for you. o When it comes to played characters, ALWAYS ask before you godmod them. Specify what you are going to do, so there is no confusion.
• Posts should not be only dialogue. • In the same vein, please try to keep your posts descriptive. Talk about what’s going on around your character, talk about how they’re feeling during the interaction, talk about how their foot itches and it’s making it hard to concentrate—anything’s game, as long as you don’t infringe on other characters (see Godmodding). • Please keep the rating at PG-16 or below. This includes profanities. Any violation of this policy will result in a warning.
o Anything over this limit will be placed in a special forum. This forum will not be accessible to anyone under the age of eighteen (18).
Threads
• You can be in three (3) threads at any given time, if necessary. • Remember, we tend to function on fluid time. You can be in two different threads, doing two different things with your character at the same time, as long as you specify that they are in fact at different times, and what those times are. We want to keep things coherent and moving at the same pace. • If you are not sure whether you can join someone’s thread, ask the person who started. • Please specify when you are either leaving a thread or closing it. When there is nothing left to do in a thread, it can be closed.
Plots
• Please place ANY plot ideas in the Plot Convenience Theater. And we mean ANY. If it’s going to affect more than just your character, and/or wasn’t in your initial application, then you need to run it by everyone. • Starting a plot without doing this will result in a warning and a deletion of those posts.
OOC Interaction
• Don’t flame other players. Flaming is defined as a hostile and insulting interaction between Internet users. If you have a problem with another member, please talk to one of us, and we can help you work things out. If you have difficulty with this, you will receive a warning. • Avoid Spam. We know, we know, it’s fun to be random, but keep in mind… one word posts are not cool. They’re like gnats. No matter how much you swat them away, they’ll only keep coming and getting in your nose and ears. Do you want to be gnat-nosed? I didn’t think so.
ADVERTISING
PMing other players to invite them to your RP is NOT allowed on Rising Sun. Please advertise your site in the Advertisement and Affiliation forum.
NOTE: You get three (3) warnings before you’re gone. Be wise, have fun, and don’t drink the water! It may or may not be the reason for our insanity.
